Collection: Xuan paper

Xuan paper (Chinese Pinyin xuānzhǐ) is the representative type of Chinese paper and has a uniquely high status for scholars in East Asia. This paper is mainly used for calligraphy and ink painting because its absorbency requires good comprehension and can sensitively show all the details of the brushwork. Its production technique is officially recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. It is also called the "king of all papers".
